Sister Dorothy

I've come to realise that my new place of work is only a stone's throw away from where one of my friends lived in a nursing home while she was doing her nurses training at the Middlesex Hospital. I remember her tales of kitchens full of cockroaches well! The building is no longer used to house nurses and seems to be an administrative wing of the hospital now.

I liked the green plaque dedicated to Sister Dorothy. You can read about her bravery and why she was awarded the George Cross in the application that was submitted to gain approval for the mounting of the plaque (Green Plaque application).
