Wound up in Wexford

Chionodoxa (I think)

There are a few of these startling blue flowers around the base of one of the trees, along with some miniature daffodils.  I can't remember what bulbs I put in, but I've always fancied having chionodoxa, so it's quite likely I chose to plant some.  A couple of years ago, the weeds and overgrown grass around the tree were so bad I dug the whole thing over, and sadly most of the bulbs were lost because they were tiny and not really visible amongst the matted grass roots.  Didn't notice these last year, but it's nice to see a few survived to bloom this year.

W and I both woke at "stupid o'clock" this morning, so found it difficult to get up the energy for much.  Despite that, W spent some time in the sun scarifying the grass, and I've sewn another 24 numbers onto oblongs.  We're tired now.  I think an early night will be in order.
