Blooming Dandelion
The dandelions are definitely convinced that spring is here. They are in full bloom and looking exceptionally healthy.
The trees round the Dower House are more tentative but the green buds are beginning to appear now. It’s just as well they don’t know there could be snow and plummeting temperatures next week if my phone forecast is correct.
It certainly felt much milder today despite the fresh breeze and the great and furloughed together with hundreds of school children are out socialising again on the Meadows with their plastic bags of food which will be left in situ after they depart. I can’t help but be cynical when I’ve seen this behaviour over the years.
However for me, I’ve been out for exercise and now intend to drink the last of my gin and read my book - the Midnight Library by Matt Haig in which the unfulfilled heroine gets to exist virtually in lives she might have had, had she made different choices. I wonder what might happen if we could all do that in real life if we have perhaps had regrets over decisions made along the way.
