Is that a doughnut or a meringue?
That's a line from one of my favourite jokes involving baked products and the Scottish accent.
A woman walks into a bakery, points to one of the baked goods on display and asks "Is that a donut or a meringue?"
The baker replies "No, you're right enough, it's a doughnut."
(The joke derives from the fact that saying "A meringue" in a central Scottish accent sounds like "Am I wrong?")
Anyway. I laughed.
The doughnut was courtesy of my boss who awarded them to everyone at today's Departmental Meeting, just because. Nice.
