Skyfall & Sancerre

Finally, a family day off together. The sun shone and Chorlton twinkled.

We met up with the NCT Mums for a pizza at Croma (my husband joined in as an honorary Mum for the day - see pic taken outside ) and took our new favourite walk through Longford Park for ice creams before heading down by the secret little cemetery along the river. Mustn't keep doing that walk or its novelty will wear off, ha ha!

The day was going well but Audrey's illness made a steady return and by the time we got back she was inconsolable. The poor wee thing - her nose and red watery eyes were running together at one stage. She was in a right state. My husband offered (OK 'was volunteered') to bath her while I popped out for supplies. He said she was asleep before her head hit the cot. And she never does that.

Just cooked us a lovely Springtime Shepherds Pie and we have a chilled bottle of Sancerre open.

I felt sure we'd be watching Man Utd but turns out we're putting Skyfall on instead. This day could be rescued yet!
