Allotment pond-life ;-)

Regular readers may recall that we 'upgraded' our Allotment-pond not that long ago, back in October last year ...

... so, you can imagine our delight this morning, when during a brief visit to the Saughton site we discovered that the pond (main snap) already has 2 resident frogs (one is captured in the 1st extra); two large clumps of new frog-spawn (see 2nd extra); and at least, literally 7 or 8 resident newts!

Didn't manage to capture any of the newts on camera today, but have seen them before (in the old 'bath' pond) - see the snaps here, from May 2020 :-)
