next generation

Just a very brief sighting of the juvenile peregrine this morning. Last years off spring she is very feisty, having been mercilessly hounded and chased by the male to see her off whilst her mother was around. She stubbornly put up with it all and just out flew all comers. However since the disappearance of her mother she has become the dominant female and could well stay around and breed next year.

Bigger news was the opening of golf courses in England. I went to the driving range to loosen up a little before having club competitions tomorrow, Wednesday and Saturday. Making up for lost time golf !
