Well I tried unpicking the coat from the bottom but because I’d made such a good job of weaving in the spare colours at the back it was taking ages. So I have had to bite the bullet and rip all the back out. It took 2 hours. This all happened because my daughter is 5’3” and the coat model was 6’2” (well maybe an exaggeration) therefore the coat would be too long. Because I started in the colour sequence of the pattern it meant the rights colours wouldn’t meet together with the sleeves. Now I need to start again with the dark blue, 5” further up on the pattern. My patience has been sorely tested.

It’s cold, windy and wet outside so I’ll just crack (or should it be clack?) on with the casting on.
