Light as a ... !

It tapped upon my window
As I got in my car
May I travel with you?
Are you going far?

I've been lying here for ages
And all have passed me by,
Too busy with their own lives
To hear my plaintive cry.

You see I need to go some place
Where I'll be snug and warm
Can you just take me with you
So I don't come to harm?

What could I do? ... I picked it up
And took it on my trip.
It really is quite beautiful
And so becomes my blip!
