Sparks are Flying

Literally.

Long exposure is the subject of 52 frames this week.  Phil suggested I take a couple of shots of him wood turning with the wood shavings coming off the chisel.  Good idea I said.  Well they gave off such fine sawdust it was difficult to see it in photographs.  During the exercise he has to sharpen the chisels - bingo.  That will do nicely thank you.  Best laid plans and all that.

A short week this week - got some down time tomorrow as I am the official driver for Phil and he will hate it.  He is having lazer surgery on his eyes  so obviously won't be allowed to drive himself home - he has developed cataracts and as part of the treatment he is having corrective surgery for his vision.  The surgeons are confident that they can reduce his optical prescription and maybe even remove the need to wear his glasses.  He wasn't expecting to get the extra treatment and he certainly wasn't expecting it to happen so quickly.  He has only known for a week so an unexpected day off and a lot of waiting around for me.  I will be sure to take the camera.
