Searching for a New World

A supermarket click and collect took us in the car to Beckton today and a short walk in and around Trinity Buoy Wharf as a result.    I found this historic monument on the bank of the Thames.  It commemorates the voyage in 1606 of the first three ships that set sail together to reach the New World, or the good old US of A as we now all call it.    One was called Godspeed which I rather like.   They found Virginia and Pocahontas.   I think the USA flag needs a little attention.
