One sided street

Like Princes Street in Edinburgh this street would be a lot shorter if they had built on both sides. At least they put some slaughterhouses under the road. The abonimation on the right of the picture was the result of the old market hall being destroyed by fire in 1963 and rebuilt with the usual economy of style and sympathy that characterised sixties urban architecture.
