Sunday afternoon at the local

They're watching the rugby league, a NSW obsession. This year's season started a few weeks ago. The wall forming a backdrop to the guys in the photo has some iconic sports photographs, a few of which you can see here. My favourite one, not on display in my blip, but some time in the future, is of Yvonne Goolagong Cawley, Wiradjuri woman and tennis champ who won Wimbledon singles in 1971 and 1980, defeating respectively Margaret Court and Chris Evert Lloyd. These are two only of her many victories in an illustrious career.

Full sun today, spent walking the park and streets. The grass is suddenly ankle deep. Time to get out the lawn mower. Not for me, for the Resident Gardener.
