Mona Vale

Now in Christchurch for the last night of our little trip. We've splashed out to stay at the Britten Stables which was the home of John Britten and his family. It's now run as a bed and breakfast by his daughter. It used to be the stables of Mona Vale which was a homestead built in 1899. After a greyish day keeping ahead of the rain coming in from the west we saw the sun (plus rainbow) just after dinner. Extra #1 shows the autumn colours in the Mona Vale gardens and extra #2 the view from our room down into the atrium of the stables. Thanks heaps for the attention given to our holiday.
