Everyday I Write The Book

By Eyecatching

It’s that time again...

Passover. Very, very funny this year. Lots of laughter in amongst the readings and the lessons from the Haggadah. Plus TSM had a more modern version which updated the whole narrative for modern plagues and  the need to recognise the role of women (the traditional versions are very much about male thinking).

Teamwork in the kitchen was amazing. The Dizzle made a fish pie and an apple crumble and TSM did soup and vegan "fish" pie, and I assembled a classy fruit salad. Mystic Em and Strider were in full on support mode, strider in particular producing logistical heroics in terms of shifting the dirty stuff so that the cooking process wasn’t interrupted. It really was impressive the way we bobbed and weaved around each other and got the job done, and helped each other solve problems. I love it when we cook as a family, with some music on in the background.

Good day. Perhaps unsurprisingly, plenty of left overs. Except the apple crumble - I think there may have been some nocturnal snacking going on as there wasn’t much left this morning ...
