A suggestion of peach blossom

The first bud on the peach tree made a very cautious entrance in the chill wind today. Just a couple of weeks ago we had a peach sponge pudding made from some of the produce of this little tree last summer. I had poached the fruit in a light syrup then frozen them in batches. There is still one batch to go but maybe I should make it last because I won't be hopeful of picking peaches this summer if this cool weather continues.
