View to the North Yorkshire Moors

We live a few miles from the foot of the North Yorkshire Moors and I love to see them. Sometimes they look really dark and sometimes you can hardly see them. It was a really sunny day but there was a very cold wind, known here as a lazy wind. Our walk was on local footpaths but hopefully before too long the footpath on the other side of road will be open again. They are working on the diversionary channel to the river which runs through our town. This channel has prevented flooding here for years and the work will make sure that continued.
