Saxon sanctuary

Out for a short drive this afternoon and I called in at St Peter's Church in Wooton Wawen which is recognized as the oldest church in Warwickshire.  I need to visit when the church is open to learn more about the Exhibition of the history of the area.  And to find out why it is known as the Saxon Sanctuary.  Something to look forward to in the summer.

I did a circular route today calling in at a garden centre en route (Surprise, surprise) and then coming back home down the old Warwick to Redditch road.  Some promising pubs on that route for future reference.

Anybody else watching the ice skating?  Amazing moves and some lovely music...  Then I will be onto the Volta Catalunya highlights later...
