Bridge of Gairn
The sun appeared for long enough to put my sunglasses on, by which time I was not to need them again for the rest of the day. In that moment of optimism I thought it would be a good idea to look for the snow. I had rather grown to enjoy the snow on the hills while I was at Lake Como last week. Only at a distance of course.
We took the A939 past Bridge of Gairn, which can also be seen in summer here. We ventured past Corgarff Castle and up as far as Tomintoul before heading back to Aberdeen.
Between mud, snow, wet and grit the car looked as though it had taken part in a rally.
