Golden

Our day turned out sunny, after rain in the morning. By the afternoon the light was wonderfully clear and bright, even in my room which is north facing - the coldest room in the house, but the one with the best view! 

The theme for this week's tag is 'Golden Layers' - tiny pieces of yellow and gold fabric, stitched down and embellished. I had fun sorting fabrics, wondering how I came to have so many gold ribbons - maybe they came from Christmas cakes, I never throw anything like that away. 

The ribbons, fabrics and threads shone in the sunlight and I sat and stitched in the lovely light and watched as its brightness moved across the hills.
