That Time Of Year Again

It's coming up to asparagus season again and the first sign is the arrival of these little huts - they are dotted around all over the place.

They are not open yet but I'm pretty sure there are a LOT of people here planning a plate of freshly steamed asparagus with new potatoes and a schnitzel.

The consolation prize for those of us who do not love the Smelly Wee Sticks is that if asparagus is coming then strawberries are only a couple of weeks behind.

Now that's an optimistic note on which to head in to the weekend.
