A silent forge

This is the old blacksmiths forge in Badsey, The business was started in 1909 by Frank Caswell and passed through the generations to his son Dick and then his grandson David who operated the forge for over 40 years. David died in 2019 after which the forge and the adjoining cottage were sold. The cottage has since been renovated but thankfully the forge remains - although no longer used. It is part of the village history so hopefully it can remain for many more years.
