The final flourish of the Goat Willow's flowers
The goat willow in our garden has produced a wonderful array of flowers this spring. This year fewer buds were damaged by squirrels and large birds such as magpies and crows which usually thrash around on and between these branches, something they can't do when the leaves spread thickly on the branches.
The bright sunshine and blue sky provided the perfect moment to record this profusion, despite the cold and gusty north-westerly wind.
