Finding Cheeques
It felt like it was roaring, beneath the bright blue sky. The river has begun rattling into motion again + I foresee an approaching reddening of my face at some point in the near future. We took a visit to Cheeques to go and check that he hadn't dissolved over the winter. As we peeled our way through the layers of insulation he'd developed, we felt collective love filled emotions that refuse to leave us alone ~ and once again, the ambitious hope of seeing his life continue remain.
There's an old bloke living in him at the moment. He used to fix Formula whatsit cars so in exchange for his habitation, he's going to have a peek at our pitted engine in the Spring. So it's possible that hope we still cling onto, has eradicated itself altogether, after all.
Best bit of today though, is that I got my bicycle out on the road again. Looking like a lunatic in a mouldy high~vis + stomping great walking boots, sunglasses crooked to the extent that only one of my eyes was shielded was all irrelevant, the fact remained, the bike was back. And suddenly, once more on this roller coaster of a winter, the mountains opened up their gates to me, and the sun was dark orange on my grinning face.
