Ready? Not Yet - It Appears

Having cut the wood for the compost bin fronts, prepped and sorted the bottom double-plank layer with a waterproof membrane, built the slide mechanism for the planks to sit on each other, then assembled it, Mrs SoL asked the obvious question:
« Oh, aren’t you going to stain it?  It is a bit bright »
I had originally planned to let the natural greying take place over time.  You can figure what happened next?
Extra pic is after it was taken apart, membrane removed and the last of my wood preserver/stain used (it was 18.78 m2 to be covered in fact).  I will re-assemble all again tomorrow, after the rain expected today has passed.  The drying planks are all protected from that for now.
