HOLDING STEADY....

..... finally the rain has eased, so went down to get some pics for the "record".

As you can see the level was just over 13 metres above Bridge height. The extras give another perspective.

Thankfully the rain is forecast to clear right away for the rest of the week, BUT, the damage from these floods will continue to increase as it heads slowly to the coast, taking everything in its way.

As we have been "hemmed" in all week by the destruction, and the flood finally they have been able to fly in supplies to restock the local supermarket. Not a lot but enough essentials to fill a gap as they bring more in. 
Any medical emergency has been Helicoptered out, and I think so far there has been three or four, mainly pregnant women.

Most seemed to be handling it okay and understanding the circumstances and know we are at least on higher ground and many have lost everything in the low lying areas.
