The Castle...

from Grants Fort on a lovely sunny, cold morning, well, it was quite warm out of the wind.
Overhead there were two Kites, two Buzzards, and in the wood two roe deer, two thrushes and a large flock of Fieldfares. Still masses of toads in the spawning pond.
At home, the male squirrel comes on his own to the feeder. Think she is nesting in the drey after the mating two weeks ago.
