Headed up into the hills for a bush walk today. It was on the privately owned Washpen Falls track which cost the princely sum of $10 each. Extras show the view from the summit over the Canterbury Plains, the eponymous waterfall and the boating lake (which used to be the storage lake for a small hydroelectric scheme). The main was taken on the way back from dinner at the Green Parrot (alias Kea) and is showing the gap in the clouds looking through into the higher mountains.
