An up and down day

One of the cat search engines I am signed up with sent me a notice of a few cats that might be available.  Looking them over, I spotted one that I thought would be a good fit.  It turned out that he'd already been adopted, but they suggested I look at another one still available.  This one felt like a good fit and I think needs me.  So I've sent in an application for him as well.  He is local.

A new medical issue has reared its head.  An ultrasound at my doctor's office today led to a virtual appointment with her this evening.  Referral to a specialist, another blood test, more CT scans and perhaps an MRI, and likely minor surgery will be involved.  I really don't need this - I have enough medical issues already.  I'm trying to be optimistic.
