Canal Bank Garden

For many years we have regularly walked this stretch of the canal and have admired a nicely cultivated portion along the towpath. The owner of one of the houses that backs onto the canal, some years ago, started to cultivate the space between his garden and the towpath. This then expanded to cover the back ends of at least three neighbouring gardens. 
Sadly, six years ago, the original gardener passed away and things drifted. However, the new householders and their neighbours have now got together and revived the overgrown plot in memory of the original gardener.
It makes a most pleasant change from the usual brambley scrub.
