Frog

A message came from friend and neighbour T this morning, 'There are 38 frogs in the pond!'  Needless to say it required confirmation.  By the time I had finished my cuppa and picked up my camera, there were 19 or so still visible, and an ocean of frog spawn.  I could have tried to capture a group blip but I thought this little chap/ess was particularly photogenic.

I had my recorder lesson first thing and Solveig's Song sounded much more polished so I was allowed a new piece of music to have a go at for next time and we are apparently going to be looking at scales.  It's a whole new vocabulary.  Tony disappeared up to the allotment after cuppa and Popmaster, so it was time to do some Czech before lunch.  I was planning on being out in the garden in the sunshine but there was a very stiff, chilly breeze so I just had a wander to see if anything new was on its way - no sign of yellow rattle on the meadow yet, but there is more on order next month.

I went out for a tentative solo run in the afternoon.  There were several baying hounds on my chosen route but luckily the moor has lots of alternatives to avoid them so I ended up doing an interesting 5k, coming back down through sunlit woodland.

It looks like Euan has settled nicely in to daycare, which will give the grown ups space and time to organise their work and hopefully also have some down time.
