It was a busy day at the Duntreath ponds

As well as the resident swan family there were two different kinds of geese,  Canada geese, and Brent geese, all paired off. The ducks were too far away for good photos. The iPhone is great and always to hand but I need to replace my elderly Sony Cybershot (state of the art sometime in the distant past - 5.0 Mega Pixels!). I'm not sure where to start choosing a new one. There were the usual mallards and handsome goosanders.  I met the frog hopping along the road and got eyeball to eyeball, see the extra. I could hear but not see a woodpecker and was entertained by the antics of two crows at their nest.. Altogether a lovely walk.
