The rain is over and gone

The sun is shining, the sky is blue, the washing is on the line and the wet boots and clothes are drying out. All is well in our world.
 
Not so for the thousands of people who have been caught in the floods. Many are still waiting for the water to peak, and then subside so that they can start the huge clean up. There are so many heart rending stories of houses and farms and businesses ruined, animals and stock gone, people who have lost everything. Drought, fires, plagues, floods. This can be a cruel country.
