Musings of a Mortal

One Year On

It's a whole year since the country officially went into lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Alot has happened over the past year. There have been many tears shed, many things have changed and many lives lost.

But thru it all, we have, in our own way, kept on going!

The NHS workers at the "Coal Face", dealing with the very sick and vulnerable. Pushing themselves on, just to care and deliver the best service that they possibly could.

And an army of others, working away quietly, keeping the country "ticking over".

The decisions those in power had to make.... Some good and some not, yet I'm sure (whether you agreed with their outcomes or not) their intentions were for the best.

And who could forget Captain Tom and is "wartime spirit". He spoke words that resonated with us and encouraged us and one of those phrases was simply this.

"For all those people finding it difficult at the moment, the sun will shine on you again and the clouds will go away."

May we all keep on going... May we keep on encouraging one another.... and my prayer today is that as you look to the future you may have a Hope that will never fade or diminish.

Take Care and Keep Safe.
