The Last Ski Trip of Winter?

A sunny warm day, just a slight breeze, and still snow on the ground; it seems a day for skiing!
By the time we got out the sun had disappeared, but it still felt good to be out on the snow. There was less snow than before, the old rails were showing through in places. In places there were puddles of water to ski around. So, all-in-all I think this was probably the last ski trip of spring, but I'll be happy if I am proved wrong.
We skiied out along the old railway until the thin clouds above us started to deliver a few raindrops, despite the blue sky also showing through. Time to head for home...
