Playing with macro

While I was looking into the best macro lens for my new camera, (which I can't afford yet) I came across an article that said I could use my 24-105 as a macro lens.  I gave it a try and it was essentially unworkable.

I also came across an article that said I could use my 60mm EFS lens with an extension.  I bought an extension and gave that a try.  While it wasn't very successful today, it does seem to have some potential.  But the only extension I was able to buy was a 25mm one.  I think things would have gone better with a 12mm as the 25 meant that I had to get within about an inch of my subject - fine with a dandelion but not so great with a bee or anything moving!

Anyway today's blip is taken with the 25mm extension on the 60mm lens.

The extra is taken with the 24-105mm.
