the night before the big day

Got last-minute baking done in the morning - the final tray of brownies (150 altogether!).

The wedding cake, the brownies, all the cake paraphernalia etc. was put into the car and I set off for Comber.

So strange driving through Belfast - seeing the differences and then seeing things that haven't changed at all...Samson & Goliath still standing tall in East Belfast are a sight to behold. The drive in to Belfast from the M2 is one of the nicest approaches to a city I know - the sun on the water, Cave Hill on your right...really stunning. I drove past where I had my first kiss too :)

Lots and lots of memories.

Met the bride to be outside her house and we headed to Newtownards to buy some sunnies for the big day. Drove back through country roads and I was blown away again by how gorgeous this wee place is. The sun was splitting the stones, the fields were lush and green and the slurry in the air was pungent :)

Back to Ems' house to get the car packed to go up to the church. Left all the cake stuff in, organised the table it would be sat on, checked the flowers in front of the altar and the chairs for the choir.

Got back just in time for Karen, Linda, Nadine, Brighidin, and Emma's mum to arrive to get their nails done for the big day. I made dinner and we all had a right laugh.

This is the bride to be having a couple of Sleep-Eaze and a glass of red before bed :)
