Glacier National Park

I had my Austin Pastel class today and chose this image of a river in Glacier National Park.  I was there in 1972 on my first trip across the United States from New York, where I was raised.  I'd never seen the Rocky Mountains or anything much, for that matter, as I was just 19.  

So this is a quick study I did today, trying to simplify, focusing on the light and color.
