Newroz

Yesterday was kurdish new year (newroz) which involves - among other things - picnicking, fires, lots of food, traditional kurdish clothes. On new years eve we went up on the mountain with thousands of others and had a picnic with a family and danced a lot, lit a huge fire and tried to avoid fireworks which were going off in all sorts of terrifying directions!
