Wound up in Wexford

Baby daff

The garden is gradually waking up.  The latest addition to the flowers are these little baby daffs in the boulder bed.  Kindly given to us by TonyG.

We actually did some garden maintenance in the morning - we dug up a couple of shrubs that had served their purpose of giving some height, but were now getting out of hand, and making the passage down to our back door feel even narrower than it really is.  There remains one lovely variegated tree which will need some gentle pruning, but is high enough off the ground that we can plant some perennials - probably heuchera as not much sun gets there.

We also drastically pruned the buddleia, and now the garden waste bin is crammed full, with another 10 days before it is collected!

In the early afternoon I did some needlework - starting work on the next project, which should keep me occupied for a few weeks, and then we had a lovely long Zoom with ArcLight and Mr A.  And W's version of shepherd's pie (with lentils instead of mince) as comfort food in the evening.
