Bleeding Hearts

Rachelle gave me a clump of roots for this plant a couple of years ago and I planted it in a pot, but it only produced a few leaves which died back in the summer, so I wasn’t expecting much from them this year. However, much to my surprise and joy, it grew back this spring and even flowered!
Apparently, they are ephemeral and die back if they get too much sun, but reappear the next spring. So they did! I think they are very cute!
