king of the hill

Well this was a surprise.  

First of all, sunshine when I left home this morning - and warm.  Wasn't expecting that.  And then a field of gold (see extra). Compared with last Sunday's extra it looked pretty gold-ish to me.

On the way back I took a diversion off the main road and discovered what looks like a man-made hill with a view over the surrounding countryside.  And a bench on top to admire the view.  

There are steps up from the road, but I took the gravel track which corkscrews round the entire mound.  Steep and slippy, but easy with fat-tyres and an electric motor.

The bench faces South with Milton Keynes city centre just visible on the skyline (if you have good eyesight, or binoculars).

It's the first time I've tried a panoramic shot with the phone.  Need a bit of practice.

By the time I got home Anniemay had just finished zooming round Central Park and we sat in the garden with post-bike ride coffees.  Wasn't expecting that either.
