Lockdown Loaf
SATURDAY
You can tell I was desperate for a blip today but this photo is a reflection of the past 12 months.
It's now over a year since I have bought a loaf of bread from a shop - in fact I have not been in a supermarket since 12 March 2020. At the start of the first lockdown I fired-up the Panasonic bread maker and it has been used three or four times a week ever since.
I was aching a bit after yesterday's 32,000 steps but managed a 5 km walk up Stubbing Lane. The trees still look bare. It has been rather cold and breezy for the first official day of spring and a hat and gloves were the order of the day.
11,329 steps
