Surprise Visit!

These little Rufous Hummingbirds only come through our area twice a year and they come and go quite fast.  If you miss them in the Spring perhaps you'll see them in the Fall.   Joe was looking out the front door window and said... Hey, Carolyn....  there's a brown bird out here.  I jumped up because I knew exactly what he was talking about.  I had to stand on my tip toes to see out the window and even after grabbing my camera I was unable to take a shot because I am just too short!   Thankfully Joe was able to get a shot off,( this was the only shot of him taken) because by the time I got the stool out the little hummer was gone.  I hung out for a while and he never came back.     Hopefully we will catch him when he comes by again in the Fall.

 I just watched an interesting show Called Slanted Journalism By 
Sharyl Attkisson.   Quite interesting and she tells what I've  seen going on at least in the past 10-15 years.
