Monstrous Carbuncle

Not a reference to this scene but the one that confronted us a few minutes earlier as we descended along the track to the west end of the Loch; a huge new mobile phone tower in the Ardverikie wilderness.

Engineers were completing installation of radio antenna units on the tower as we passed. I chatted briefly to one. He was Birmingham based and writing about his travels with mast installations. He was keen to get a picture of Caley in his beautiful natural landscape. He preferred Ardverikie to Birmingham. I have also been to the Midlands City and found it far too congested.
