Ready for the Last Bay

After Mrs SoL decided to paint the wood trim of the compost bays, the adjusted plan continues.  The past two days have been spent emptying the so-called ‘in use’ bay, by taking it to the new raised beds.  My maths has always been suspect, but a quick calculation tells me that I have shovelled in to wheel barrows (including the barrow wheel repair, followed by the purchase of a new barrow as well), walked them over to the raised beds.  Emptied them, then repeat - alot, roughly 4m3 of compost. That has filled, to a depth of around 15-20 cm, the 8 beds.  Only the well rotted compost and the reasonable topsoil stuff in our best heap to be added.
The old rotten wood panels and posts have been removed, so next step is to dig the foundations, fill with hardcore, cement, then build the walls.  Mrs SoL suggested that I stop at the point I took the picture because (in her words) I’m old.  I prefer ‘chronologically challenged’; still the proposal of wine, pizza and rugby tonight was too hard to turn down.  Shame the England team didn’t have my levels of energy. Well done Ireland, who deserved the win.  About to watch the France/Wales game.... we’ll see who is going to win this year’s championship.  Onwards and upwards.
