A pair of mallards

I’m surprised to find that the mallard is the most widespread duck in the world. They need in Europe, Asia and North America and it has been introduced into Australia and New Zealand.
11 to 14 eggs are laid incubated and fed by their mother. The young can swim, dive and feed themselves soon after hatching. They are independent after 50 days. Well done ducks.
