Powerless

It was quite a day today. When I got up this morning the power was down and it wasn't just us; it was the whole of Calne. It came back for about a minute around nine and then that was it until gone five this evening. At one point even the phone signals went as the mobile towers were affected as well. All we could do was huddle in the lounge next to the log-burner and wait. When I headed to the shops for supplies these massive generators were being delivered. Apparently there were over seventy of them installed around town but I don't think they ever got used as they managed to fix things in time.
