Alone?

This Handsome Boy has been coming to the BarkButter feeders more often, now that the ButterButts have moved on. Weeks ago he had a female with him but I haven't seen her lately. Several possibilities...they weren't compatible and she split, another male Pileated 'stole' her heart and she up and left him, or they've successfully mated and she's sitting on eggs. He's still sporting his beautiful breeding plumage so...watch this space! :)
