An Unexpectedly Beautiful Day

... but firstly a huge thank you for helping Byron, (thank you Kendal for this great name suggestion) the majestic bouquetin, climb to the top line of the pops! 

The forecast was awful for today and so a quick WhatsApp to enact a change of plan when I saw the clear skies at 6:30am. There are many new  ski mountaineering routes set out in ski resorts since the pandemic started and I had never done the easy one that is most local to us. The views were stunning towards the Mont Blanc Range to the right, and so interesting to see places like the “Maison Militaire” the house you can see here, from a different angle.
